SeaFooD HuNTinG..

Before I start.. We (Me & En Hulk) are now in this group called the "The Food Hunters" There are 4 of us in the Group...that includes THE TWINS.. 2 Charming Guys... who I know from Ms J.. They are Funny, Cute and Great Buddy to hang out with.. Definitely different in every ways...One from Sarawak..and One from Selayang.. 

But why I call them twins is because they are always together no matter where they are... (not in the weird way together...) They both loves GuRLs..hehe

So back to the post... today we, The Food Hunters had a looooooooooong trip to Klang...just to have this Marvellous Seafood Feast.. and this time The TWINS...brought along a fren of theirs Mr D...  So there were 5 of us...

Very nice Sotong Goreng Tepung, Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside..(I don't like the one many shop likes to make...when they put the Sotong/ Udang inside a ball of tepung goreng...)

My favorite Kailan Ikan Masin.. Even it was being cooked the Kailan still taste soo fresh and the Ikan Masin Gravy was very Mild and Nice..

Baker Mood On!

Since morning I have this bust of feeling to cook... but not in cooking main dishes as I always do...but to cook something that I've never eaten before...something new... its like a bread or a pau goreng.. (*~_~) 



Cucuq Kembong Gebera Style


Bahan-bahan
2 cawan Tepung Gandum
2 sudu besar Planta
2 - 3 sudu besar Gula
2 sudu kecil Garam
1 1/2 sudu kecil Mauripan Yis
1 biji Telur (Grade B)
Air secukupnya
 



Cara Penyediaan...
  1. Mix all the above Ingredients dan uli sampai jadi doh..
  2. Let the doh rest for 1/2 hour so that the size akan digandakan..
    (to have better effect, cover it with wet towel..)
     
  3. Shape it into balls and goreng until golden brown..WALAA... 







Later in the evening.. teringin pulak nak masak kuih ni.. coz En Hulk suka and have been looking for it...tapi susah sgt nk jumpa n beli coz org tak buat... the kuih its called..



Apam Soda Gebera Style

Bahan-bahan
2 biji Telur (Grade B) 
1 sudu teh Ovallete

200g Gula
200g Tepung Gandum
150ml Air Ais Krim Soda (room temperature)
Sedikit Pewarna Merah atau Strawberry Paste
Paper Cups
Small Bowl (that fits the paper cups)
 



Cara Penyediaan...
  1. Mix Telur, Ovallete & Gula using a Mixer until it turns into a soft cream..
  2. Ayak Tepung into the batter.. and continue mixing until sebati..
  3. Proses MengeSTIM
  4. Stop the Mixer, masukkan Air Soda sedikit demi sedikit ke dalam batter dan kaup menggunakan Spatula sehingga sebati..
  5. Divide the batter into 2 bowls.. 1 of the bowl it to mixed the Strawberry Paste (so that ada perasa sikit..) or Pewarna Merah..
  6. Combine the 2 colored batter into paper cups & spiral it using a fork
  7. Put the paper cups into the small bowl and into the stimmer.. (make sure the water is boiling and balut the penutup periuk with a cloth so that air stim tak menitik into the apam...) 
  8. Stim it for abt 5 mins..and
    WAALAA its ready!
Tadaaa.... 


Yg ni I just masukkan the white batter into the paper cups
and spiral some drop of Strawberry paste onto it..


Yg ni I divide the batter, color 1 of it with Strawberry paste
and spiral both equally in the paper cups..

A WaLk To ReMemBER..

It has been a long time since me and En Hulk spent time jalan2 together.. coz both were busy with our own tanggungjawab..which we called as WORK...hehe... 

The day started with a trip to TGV in Wangsa Walk..we arrive as early as 11.30am to get the tickets... tapi we got confused coz tak tahu nk tgk cerita apa... we were thinking of either Underworld Awakening or Journey 2 The Mysterious Island.. but according to En Hulk, the Underworld is a Box Office movies, so we decided to watch it instead..




Thank God we chose this movie... It was Extremely Marvelous!! Filled with Great Actions and Stunts especially Kate Beckinsale... She was damn good... The only thing was that I could not remember watching the previous episodes..so I was only enjoying the action then the synchronization of the movies... Therefore my next mission would definitely to download the Underworld Trilogy...











Guess where we went after the movie...hehe... At 2.30pm, we were standing in front of the Zoo Negara entrance.. 



As we entered the Zoo... we went straight to this Board that has a Map of the Zoo.. and we were excited to see that there is an Animal Show at 3pm near the Aquarium... so we headed there straight away... We enjoyed the 30 minutes show... and  then started our walk to see Fishes in the Aquarium..then to the Birds Cage.. then to see the Bears, the Safari, the Monkey, Lions and others... 
 

By the time we arrive at the Elephants... it was 5.30pm... and its FEEDING TIME.. so we decided to sit and watch the Zoo Keeper feed the Elephants.. It was so touching to watch that the animal was so Clever to know EXACTLY what to do... First the Zoo Keeper will ask them to take a bath in the small pool...while the Zoo Keeper clean the terrace and put their foods there...Once they are done, the Elephants will head to the terrace one at a time.. once they are there.. they were very discipline, they didn't even eat the food straight away... first they pick up the chain with their trunk and handed over to the Zoo Keeper.. then they lift up their feet to the Zoo Keeper so that the Zoo Keeper can tie the chain onto their leg.. (This was soooo touching..mmg rasa nk nangis dah masa tu..) After the Zoo Keeper had tied both Elephants, he will give a signal to both Elephants..then only they will start to eat..

After a good exercise (walk) we headed straight back home.. 

It was indeed A WALK TO REMEMBER...

9pm Vs 12am..

People often do not take this seriously...but trust me.. it is really important to know whether your partner is a 9pm or 12am person...

This is what happen to me and En Hulk.. last night after dinner we drive to Putrajaya...coz he needs to get his brother's car.. so since dah sampai Putrajaya.. he decided to ronda-ronda dulu... just showing me around... tgk rumah TPM, office PM, Masjid Kaca, Rumput Carpet dpn Bgunan Perbandaran Putrajaya..hehe...etc.. Everything was perfect...untill..

I started yawning..at 10.30pm...its not that i'm bored... but its pass my bedtime...since school I always go to bed at 9pm... even in College...I mmg xboleh stay up utk study mlm2... Ms WAWS can confirmed this....

En Hulk on the other hand...loves to jalan2 at night...once in University... kitaorg penah park keta kat dataran merdeka and jalan ke Bukit Bintang..(melalui Pudu) lepak2...then jalan balik ke Dataran Merdeka (melalui Concorde Hotel)... Maksudnya masa Uni dulu...boleh gak la bersengkang mata..kuar dating...heee   hmmm boleh katakan everyday I tido siang sbb tu la kot.. but now???
Sejak dah keja ni...bdn jadi PENAT sgt... especially MIND... tu yg balik umah jer... mandi...mmg malas sgt nk kuar jalan2 pulak... I rather SLEEP...

So remember... before u start dating someone.. please make sure ur partners are the same time person as u r... 

Kalau u Ms 9pm...dia pun mesti Mr 9pm... or 

If u r Ms 12am..(boleh stay-up)... make sure he is also Mr 12am.. so korang leh kuar dating sama2 sampai midnite...without worrying one of you might sleep in the car along the way...heee..

Very Deep...

The Novel itself is very 3x Deep and has so many Meaningful Elements... The spirit of the Novel ada dalam Movie.. cuma due to time constrain... not all can be included... but overall the BEST PARTS are in the Movie..Well done Osman Ali... And most importantly.. Thumbs up to Fauziah Ashari.. You have made one memorable and precious piece..

Its very true.. in life there are soooooo many Dugaan dan Cabaran.. tak akan ada org yg boleh lari dari dugaan, baik dari segi kerja, bersama sahabat, keluarga, mahupun yg tersayang.. but how we manage it matters the most...

Small yet Yummy...

Wow.. its been 10 days since my last update.. malaskah aku? (uishh baru brapa post dah malas)...no no no.. buzy kah aku? Yes Yes Yes..hehe..

So since dah lama tak mem-blog-ing kan diri.. today i nk crita skit pasal sejenis kuih yg tersangatlah sedap!!

Taadaa...





Ahaa... So nama kuih ni adalah KUIH GANDUS!! Jgn tanya asal usul kuih ni? The only thing that i know is that... u can get it in Pasar Keramat, Keyel.. hehe.. (AMARAN: there's 2 gerai that sells this kuih..the one kat tepi jalan is not the original one.. plus its keras.. n inti too sweet..make sure u buy the one inside or just before the pasar keramat's enterance.. nk double confirm, gerai dia depan org jual buah and yg menjual tu nenek and atok..)

Basically it taste mcm lempeng kelapa berinti-kan jem nenas yg sgt sedap...(not too sweet not too tawar..) sampai nenek tu ckp...they have to tutup gerai 1-2 days... just to make the inti... Texture kuih sangat lembut...ada rasa2 kelapa...n sedap dimakan masa panas...sekali beli wajib 10 biji...hehe.. sebiji about 40 sen...

Makan satu pasti nak lagi...dan lagi.... dan lagi... dan lagiiiiii....

My 1st 2012 Annual Leave...

I've never thought that I'll be spending my 1st 2012 leave watching a NEW SERIES the whole day... so guess what Great Series that catches my interest.....









Nahhh...seriously you'll never thought of it...




And of coz I DOWNLOADED from the very first Episode of the very first Season...


First of all, they are so so sooo ADORABLE...and extremely TALENTED... from the oldest 13 years old to the youngest 9 years old... just give them anything, altough with limited time and pressure, they can still manage to produce a MARVELOUS dish... and what touches me the most is that they are sooo young...and they never give up... although they did cry if anything goes wrong...but with a great support from the Chef Judges, they manage to finished it...By the way, it did made me cry a few times...but its HAPPY TEARS k... I'm just so PROUD of them...

Being inspired by the Fabulous Chef-lings... I decided to try one of the Chef's Cooking Class Recipe...you may watch S01E06 (here)....but I'm gonna make a major modify-ing as to what ingredient I have in my Pantry...hehe...(*~_~)

Chicken Schnitzel Gebera Style

Bahan Bread Crumbs
Roti Gardenia (dibakar dalam Oven until very BROWN & blend) 
Serbuk Lada Hitam
Serbuk ParsleySedikit Garam 
Cheese Keping (dicincang halus)

Bahan Lain
Isi Ayam (dipotong dan diketuk supaya nipis) 
1 biji Telur
Sedikit Tepung Gandum
Buttercup


Cara Penyediaan
  1. Letakkan Tepung, Telur dan Bahan Bread Crumbs dalam pinggan yang berasingan. 
  2. Isi Ayam akan dicelup mengikut turutan...

    i. Tepung Gandum

       



    ii. Telur

       



    iii. Bahan Bread Crumbs
       


  3. Meltz da sedikit Butter atas frying pan...and masak ayam approximately 3 minutes or until its Golden Brown... and...WAALAA its ready!
Note..
* This dish is sooo Simple yet Complicated... But usually a lil hard work, you will get a  GREAT dish!

One After Another...

I received a shocking news from En Hulk last night.. On his way to my office, my car was OVER HEATED!!!!!!! He can only drive not more then 5 mins away, then the Heat Meter will shoot up...

So our last plan was for him to call for help... and for me to go back home with my colleague.. Ms FJZ... a lil intro about her.. a working mom of two charming future footballer and a wife to an Ice Carving Chef. Her dream is to open a Bookshop  Restaurant.. coz she's a Marvelous Cook and she loves Reading as well as writing very much..

Oh ya, I'm not sure when this happen but me and En Hulk are practically Ms FJZ's mother's Anak Angkatz..hehe Well, its a MUST for us to attend almost all of their family (as in anak2) gathering and special functions... if not her mother..i mean our beloved Mak Angkat will surely merajuk...hehe..

Back to da story...so En Hulk called 911.. hehe no no no...he called for Towing... which cost him RM100 to get to his Sifoo Mechanic Fren in Subang Bestari.. but nothing much can be done that particular night as the car was toooo HOT... (not as in...SEXY HOT...its HOT a.k.a Panas..) so they decide to look at it the next morning... 

By the way Mr Sifoo Mechanic was one of Proton great employee who basically was one of the team who designs Gen2 up to Exora.. Thumbs Up!!

So that's Shocking News #1... then came the next morning... since we are Car-less... I didn't go anywhere... only En Hulk spent the whole day at his fren's workshop to look at My Poor Dehydrated Baby...

As for me, after settling with the lipat-ing baju and kemas-ing the house part... that afternoon, tetiba lak terasa nak makan masak Tauchu.. Plus I just got this lovely recipe from Ms FJZ.. So masa tgh menggoreng ikan, tetiba api dapur terpadam... oh sugar bunz!!! GAS HABIS..... Yes Shocking News #2... terpaksa la call Wak S, untuk hantar GAS immediately...berendam minyak la ikan goreng aku tu...

So Wak S pun datangla menghantar Gas..then I was happily continu-ing cooking...when suddenly my washing machine prompt an Error Msg...tenenet...tenenet...teeettt and it cannot SPIN..oh SUGAR MAROOGER!!! this is definitely Shocking News #3.. I had to godek2 the machine... and did some trial-n-error job...and fuhhhh luckily it works..it was back on its feet and finish-ing with the wash-ing...hehehe...

And as for me...I continued my cooking... (*~_~)

Ikan Kerisi Masak Tauchu Ms FJZ Style

Bahan Tumis
Ms FJZ emphasize on the brand
1 ulas Bawang Besar dihiris halus
2 ulas Bawang Putih diketuk (saiz kecil)
1 inci Halia diketuk

Bahan Lain
3 ekor Ikan Kerisi digoreng garing (Kunyit + Garam)
2 - 3 sudu besar Tauchu Brand Bilal (Nicer + sweeter)
1 biji Cili Merah (xder so i tukar ke cili kering)
1 biji Cili Hijau (for coloring and flavour tp I xder)
Sedikit Air Asam Jawa
Sedikit Garam & Gula (if needed)
 


Cara Penyediaan Kuah..
  1. Tumis Bahan Tumis sehingga naik bau..
  2. Masukkan  Cili Merah & Hijau (mine was the Cili Kering)...  saute for a while..
  3. Then masukkan Tauchu dan masak sikit tapi jgn sampai garing..
  4. Once dah kering sikit.. masuk Air Asam Jawa and Air Putih (ikut kemahuan, nak kuah byk or sikit).
  5. Rasa kuah, boleh tambah Garam or Gula jika perlu (tapi ingat, masak tauchu dah masin...so be careful on adding the Garam)..
  6. Finally, just pour the kuah on the Ikan Goreng and...WAALAA its ready!
Note..
* This dish should have the right combination of Masam, Manis and Masin...
(As always kepada sesiapa yg nak guna recipe kakak I ni...pepandai la improvise mengikut tekak sendiri...)

Left Over..

As soon as I came back from work, I was sooo damn tired and hungry.. So I open my tiny fridge and saw this left over Butter Prawn that I tapau-ed from a Seafood Restaurant I went with En Hulk a few days ago.. So guess what I'm having for dinner tonite...hehehe... (*~_~)

Butter Prawn Noodle Gebera Style

Bahan-Bahan
1 peket Mee Halus
1 keping Cheese
Left Over Butter Prawn
Sedikit Planta 

Cara Penyediaan..
  1. Rebus Mee Halus supaya kembang dan toskan..
  2. Panaskan kuali dengan sedikit Planta dan masukkan Left Over Butter Prawn..
  3. Once Prawn dah panas dan sebati dengan Planta, masukkan Mee Halus dan gaul sehingga sebati..
  4. Taburkan Cheese while it's hot... and WAALAA its ready!
Tadaaa.... 



Either I'm very hungry or it is really DELICIOUS!! hehe..

Lunch - Dinner - Lunch

One day I saw this delicious Nasi Goreng in Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan, TV3...but I can't remember which episode and where the restaurant is.. It looked sooooo damn YUMMY.. I really love the main ingredient of the Nasi Goreng.. plus it has been ages since I last eat that particular main ingredient.. CORNED BEEF... This is the definition I found in Wikipedia...

"Corned beef is a type of salt-cured beef products present in many beef-eating cultures. The term comes not from the grain corn, but from the treatment of the meat with "corns" of salt."
Those days I love to eat it with bread.. since I saw the Nasi Goreng.. I dah bertekad that 1 DAY I will cooked that Yummy Nasi Goreng..and that 1 DAY is TODAY... 

By the way, I purposely cook 2 pots of Rice so that I can eat this Yummy Nasi Goreng of mine (kalu jadi la..hehe) for today's Lunch, today's Dinner and tomorrow's Lunch...muahahaha puas hati aku... (*~_~)



Nasi Goreng Corned Beef Gebera Style

Bahan Tumis
1 ulas Bawang Besar dihiris halus
3 ulas Bawang Putih diketuk
1 biji Cili Merah dihiris halus 

Bahan Lain
2 pot Nasi Putih
2 biji Telur (Grade B)
1 batang Celery dipotong 
3/4 tin Corned Beef
Sedikit Planta & Serbuk Lada Putih

 


Cara Penyediaan..
  1. Tumis Bahan Tumis dengan Planta sehingga naik bau..
  2. Masukkan Corned Beef dan Serbuk Lada Putih secukup rasa..Goreng sehingga kering..(approximately 5-8 minutes..) Tambah Planta jika perlu..
  3. Once Corned Beef dah nampak kering n garing, perlahankan api dan masukkan Nasi Putih.. Gaul sehingga kesemua bahan nampak sebati.. (Tak perlu tambah garam sebab Corned Beef dah masin..)
  4. Then tolak Nasi ketepi kuali and buat lubang kat tengah mcm STADIUM... (you may refer to the picture)
  5. Kuatkan api semula, masukkan sedikit Planta dan Telur... 
  6. Once Telur dah nampak half cooked, kacau2 sikit supaya nampak hancur... once  Telur dah 3/4 cooked, gaulkan dengan Nasi...(make sure nasi xnampak berketul disebabkan telur xmasak..speardkan nasi tu dan masak lama skit atas kuali...supaya telur masak betul)
  7. Rasa Nasi, boleh tambah Serbuk Lada Putih jika perlu.
  8. Tutup api, and masukkan Celery...gaul sehingga sebati and...WAALAA its ready!
Note..
* Nasi I ni kering sikit.. kalau makan dengan Sup Ayam lagi SODAP!!..
