ChEf HuLk iN Da HoUSeEe...

What a great holiday to spent together... at first we wanted to go somewhere... but since this is along CNY come Hari Wilayah holiday..we decided to spent our holiday at our most favourite hotel.... Home Sweet Home... 

We went to pasar pagi... bought some catfish, chicken,  vegetables and mutton.. we cook together.. Had lunch and watch 2 movies...

To me.. its a normal funny movie..but not really the type of movie I would watch...However, our 2nd movie....

This movie is a good one for today...worth watching.... full of action and great new technology... I like the machine that can cure you although your face has been blown up..hahaha..but I dont really like the last part...its too easy to fight with the bad guy and the ending was sad...hmmm

Ok enuff about movies...lets talk about mr Hulk's first trial of Kurma Kambing. ..heeeee 


Kurma Kambing Mr Hulk Style

Bahan Tumis
Minyak sapi
Bunga lawang
Buah pelaga
Bunga Cengkih
Kayu manis
1 batang Serai (dititik)
Kismis

Bahan Blend
4 ulas bawang besar
3 ulas bawang putih
1 inci halia
sikit lengkuas
2 biji buah keras (lagi byk lagi lemak)

Bahan Rempah
4 sudu besar rempah kurma (bukit)
1 sudu besar rempah kari daging BABAS (bukit)

Bahan2 Lain
1 kg daging kambing (local.. baru lembut)
4 biji ubi kentang
2 biji cili hijau
2 ulas bawang besar (belah 4 tp xputus)
2 biji Tomato
Asam keping
3 sudu besar Yogurt
1/2 cawan Santan
Daun ketumbar / daun sup (hiris)
Gajus
Garam dan gula

Cara Penyediaan
1. Perap daging dengan half of the rempah kurma dan kari selama 1-2 jam
2. Tumis bahan tumis sampai naik bau.
3. Masukkan bahan blend dan kacau sampai layu
4. Masuk the other half of the rempah kurma dan kari (tmbh minyak sapi jika perlu)
5. Once rempah dh pecah minyak, masukkan daging, ubi...masak sampai daging empuk.
    keep on stirring and tmbh air skit2 jika perlu.


6. Once daging dh empuk n nmpk separated from the tulang...masukkan cili hijau,    
    tomato, 
bawang besar, yogurt n santan.
    (
Masukkan asam keping kalau xcukup masam)

7. Tambah daun ketumbar, gajus, garam dan gula.. and its done....WALLA...


Sayang...although it was ur first trial... I cant wait for the 2nd...3rd...4th....n other trial... its sooooooooo nice....u can eat with just anything. .. even the gravy itself is nice...not too plain...not too hot...just nice... thanks Sweetheart...

Triple One Four..


Why do we get a Public Holiday on 1st of Jan every year.... its a day to yourself...to finalize and CLOSE your 2013 book.. and OPEN a new book... with 365 pages to be filled in... Lets fill in with adventures...and memorable stories.. so that one day we could look back at these books and be proud of it..... :D

On new year I've cook my Granny Best chicken dish....yummy....


Ayam Masak Jintan Gebera Style

Bahan
Bawang Besar (potong dadu)
Bawang Putih (hiris halus)
Halia (diketuk)
Kicap Pekat (kalau xde kicap manis pun boleh)
Garam secukupnya
Air sedikit

Bahan ditumbuk / dikisar kasar
Jintan Manis (*2 sudu besar - sukatan membukit)
Jintan Putih (*1 sudu besar - sukatan membukit)
Lada Hitam (ikut selera)
*ratio jintan jika perlu tambah adalah Jintan Manis : Jintan Putih (2:1 sudu OR 4:2 sudu)

Cara Penyediaan
1. Perap Ayam, bahan kisar, halia n garam selama 1 jam atau lebih


-Ayam Perapan-

2. Tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih sehingga layu
3. Masukkan ayam yg diperap tadi kedalam kuali, kicap pekat dan air sedikit.
    (Jgn byk air sebab nnt air ayam akan keluar)
    Masak ayam sampai lembut dan berminyak.
    Tambah lada hitam dan garam jika perlu.

    Tadaaa........

By the way, this morning my Sis made a Dessert for us.. 

Kek Batik Gebera's Sis Sytle

Bahan
250g Butter (Buttercup)
1/2 tin Susu Pekat
400g Milo
1 peket Biskut Marie
Sedikit Air

 
Cara Penyediaan..

  1. Cairkan Butter & masukkan Susu Pekat.. 
  2. Once dah sebati, masukkan Milo..don't stop stirring..
  3. If it is too thick, add in water lil by lil...  
  4. Patahkan Biskut dan masukkan kedalam adunan Milo..
  5. Make sure to cover Milo to all parts of the biscuits.. and pour into a container..
  6. WAALAA its ready!
Note..
* Eat when its cold..so that it stick well..

My Sis and I did a small experiment where we penyetkan one side (using plastic).. to see which one taste and looks nicer..

Taste: 
Almost the same.. (hehe of coz it taste the same)

Looks after we cut: 
The penyet one looks more Square-pants.. but the other ones looks more Artistic.. (*~_~)

SiBLinGs' KitChEN..

Today is the only time I am able to do my grocery shopping... so pagi2 buta lagi 3 beradik ni pun keluar la menyoppingkan diri... n my Sis suddenly came out with an idea to cook LASAGNA... (hmmm... I can't even remember the last time I cooked/eat lasagna.. lama sungguh tu.. Our family ni pelik skit...since we know how to cook lasagna...we stop eating the restaurant's one.. nge-ngader kannn...hehe)

So we bought all the ingredients... and yes my beloved Sis la yg belanja..hehe.. TQ SISTA! and we went straight home...

Our Breakfast..

Sesampainya dirumah... I immediately segregate the works of mengupas and memotong to my Sis and lil Bro..I pulak terus masak breakfast... Roti Canai Segera with leftover Sardin Curry...



 


After eating breakfast and all ingredient is ready.. then its Cooking Time...heeee... 

The Diced Vege... (sekecil mungkin)
The Diced Chicken Meat..

Basically all you need is Red Sauce, White Sauce, Lasagna Sheets and CHEESE... (Mr.Mozarella)

RED SAUCE 
Tumis Bawang Besar >> masukkan Ayam, Mixed Herbs and diced vegetables...such as Carrot, Celery & Frest Tomato >> masukkan Tomato & Cili Sos...as well as Garam & Gula.. (good luck in balancing the flavour..) SIAP!




WHITE SAUCE 
Cairkan sedikit Butter & masukkan Tepung Gandum, don't stop stirring untill it become a paste... not too pekat n not too cair.. (as per pic below) >> Then add in Fresh Milk and whisk it non-stop untill it thicken.. (the quantity is depending on how much you want the sauce...ni la susah kalau cucu ikut cara maktok..bila tanya ja..."laaa buboh saja...agak2 lah....") >> Bila sauce dah agak2 thicken skit...put in a lil bit of CHEESE...and continue whisking...




Both Red & White Sauce a bit watery.. so that it will cook the Sheets after layering... The other main ingredient I forgot to mention is to slice Button Mushroom...it will be arranged in between the layers later...

  
 
Next is the most exciting part... 

LAYERING THE LASAGNA

 First is to prepare the Work Station...

Our Work Station..


Then the fun part starts... 

  • Red Sauce (RS)
  • White Sauce (WS)
  • Lasagna Sheet (LS)
  • Mushroom & Cheese (MC)
Layering: 
RS >> LS >> WS >> MC (a lil) >>LS >> RS >> WS >> MC (alot)
(for topping... u can also sprinkle some parsley & drizzle some olive oil)


Then you cooked on a High Heat Oven...approx. 200degrees.. if you notice that the topping is golden brown but the Sheets is not that soft yet... take out and cover with Aluminium Foil and continue baking until Sheets is soft & cooked.. 

and WALAA... Its ready to eat..

 




Oh by the way, the lasagna was our late lunch...and as for our dinner, we just made something simple...

Da' TRio BoX..

I was kemas-ing my Pantry and I suddenly realize that I have tons of food in a box... Most of them was given to me by my sis in law, my frenz and others.. (Apa depa ingt aku tatau masak kah?) So the only way to get rid of all that is to cook them all up...

There they are...the Three Box of food for me to cook...
  1. Mee Bandung Muar
  2. Malay Chicken Biryani
  3. Strawberry Cake





Sorry I forgot to take the my Maggi Bandung Muar's Photo..hehe Sorry to say but the paste was a bit FLAT!! I had to add more of Chili Sos, Tomato Sos, Lada Putih and a lil bit of Udang Kering..just to give it a more ummphh!

As for the Malay Chicken Biryani... Just follow the instruction on da Box... apa tunggu lagi...Layann...

Ok as for the Strawberry Cake... Hmm FYI, I've never baked any non-cheese cake before....So bagus jugak la dpt try from da Box ni.. Hopefully menjadi..and when your cake turns out nice..You will definitely be Proud and Happy... and the Urge of doing more Cake will naturally flow within you..hehe... So this is da results.. (*~_~)

The cake turns out Great with No Crack..and not so Dry... But I did add some extra Strawberry Paste (Balance from my Apam Soda).. So it gives a strong Strawberry Smell and Taste.. 

At first I taught off doing a Cream Topping..but since En Hulk doesn't like toppings..so I tak jadi buat.. After all..I'm not gonna eat it my self.. I'm definitely giving him 3/4 of da cake..hahaha Or I can even bring some to my office tomorrow..hehe.. 

p/s: I still have 1 more box of the Moist Cake..Mocha Flavor..

OuR ShoRT TRip..

Yesterday Me & En Hulk went for a short trip to Sunway City, Ipoh... our mission was just to join Ms FJZ's family gathering Dinner.. hehehe...

The trip was soo short that we bertolak at 4.30pm... reach there about 7.45pm then lepak have dinner, tgk Bola (Malaysia Vs Bahrain - Which we Kalah!) and bertolak balik at 2am and reach KL at 4.30am.. We can even call it as Our 12 Hour Trip...

So as usual, I ni bukan boleh p rumah orang tangan kosong... so I sempat la buat a simple dessert to bring it over.. (*~_~)




Triffle Malaysian Style..

Bahan

Swiss roll (Orange Flavor)
1 tin Fruit Cocktail
1 kotak Kristal Jelly (Perisa Raspberry - Brand NONA)
1 tin IDEAL Milk
7 sudu besar Sugar
4 sudu besar Tepung Custard (sukatan membukit)
Water 
1 tin of Slice Peach
Bekas Kaca bersaiz : 7/8 x 10"

Cara membuatnya:
1st Layer
Cut the Swiss Roll (berkeping) and arrange right at the bottom of the container.. (I even cut into half and arrange at the sides). Pour some of the Fruit Cocktail syrup onto the cakes (tak la sampai banjir..just lembabkan jer..). DONE!

2nd Layer
In a big periuk, put in Sugar, IDEAL Milk & Water (measurement: 1 tin). Then let it boil.. sambil2 tu kacau la..xnak dia burn or ada bau hangit.. While it's boiling, in a small bowl,  mix the Tepung Custard & 1/2 tin of Water and put aside.. Once the Milk dah mendidih, kecilkan api and add it the Tepung Custard mixture, kacau sampai likat and berkilat.. Once its ready... Pour on to the 1st Layer.. DONE!

3rd Layer
Toskan Fruit Cocktail and taburkan atas lapisan custard (2nd Layer)... DONE!

4th Layer
Bancuh Kristal Jelly using boiling Water (according to the measurement on the box - approx 400ml tp I add a lil bit more..so that is not too sweet..).. Biarkan jelly sejuk skit..but still cair... and pour on to the Fruit Cocktail (3rd Layer).. DONE!


5th Layer
Since I'm under budget, I did not use Whipped Cream... instead I just arrange Slice Peach as deco on the Jelly..(4th Layer)... WALAA!


Note..
Kalau nk cun lagi.. after the Jelly layer, pour another Custard Layer then baru susun Peach and tabur some Red Cherry (from the fruit cocktail)...

Baker Mood On!

Since morning I have this bust of feeling to cook... but not in cooking main dishes as I always do...but to cook something that I've never eaten before...something new... its like a bread or a pau goreng.. (*~_~) 



Cucuq Kembong Gebera Style


Bahan-bahan
2 cawan Tepung Gandum
2 sudu besar Planta
2 - 3 sudu besar Gula
2 sudu kecil Garam
1 1/2 sudu kecil Mauripan Yis
1 biji Telur (Grade B)
Air secukupnya
 



Cara Penyediaan...
  1. Mix all the above Ingredients dan uli sampai jadi doh..
  2. Let the doh rest for 1/2 hour so that the size akan digandakan..
    (to have better effect, cover it with wet towel..)
     
  3. Shape it into balls and goreng until golden brown..WALAA... 







Later in the evening.. teringin pulak nak masak kuih ni.. coz En Hulk suka and have been looking for it...tapi susah sgt nk jumpa n beli coz org tak buat... the kuih its called..



Apam Soda Gebera Style

Bahan-bahan
2 biji Telur (Grade B) 
1 sudu teh Ovallete

200g Gula
200g Tepung Gandum
150ml Air Ais Krim Soda (room temperature)
Sedikit Pewarna Merah atau Strawberry Paste
Paper Cups
Small Bowl (that fits the paper cups)
 



Cara Penyediaan...
  1. Mix Telur, Ovallete & Gula using a Mixer until it turns into a soft cream..
  2. Ayak Tepung into the batter.. and continue mixing until sebati..
  3. Proses MengeSTIM
  4. Stop the Mixer, masukkan Air Soda sedikit demi sedikit ke dalam batter dan kaup menggunakan Spatula sehingga sebati..
  5. Divide the batter into 2 bowls.. 1 of the bowl it to mixed the Strawberry Paste (so that ada perasa sikit..) or Pewarna Merah..
  6. Combine the 2 colored batter into paper cups & spiral it using a fork
  7. Put the paper cups into the small bowl and into the stimmer.. (make sure the water is boiling and balut the penutup periuk with a cloth so that air stim tak menitik into the apam...) 
  8. Stim it for abt 5 mins..and
    WAALAA its ready!
Tadaaa.... 


Yg ni I just masukkan the white batter into the paper cups
and spiral some drop of Strawberry paste onto it..


Yg ni I divide the batter, color 1 of it with Strawberry paste
and spiral both equally in the paper cups..
